Buffalo – New York Fan Blowers

Buffalo Blower – New York makes a wide variety of air and gas handling products to meet any air moving application performance requirements: ait flows up to 200,000 CFM, pressure up to 120″WC, temperature up to 1000 degrees F. Its extensive engineering and manufacturing resources can produce a cost effective fan solution for all industrial process air appications.

The followung industrial fan designs are available from Buffalo Blower – New York:

Radial Blade Fans:

Radial blade designs have high pressure characteristics and are the least efficient of all centrifugal type wheels. Buffalo Blower – New York radial fan blades are perpendicular to the direction of the wheel’s rotation, like a paddle wheel. They are used primarily for simple industrial applications, Material-handling and other standard industrial uses. The wheel is typically heavy duty construction and simple to repair in the field.

High Pressure Blowers:

The Buffalo Blower – New York HPPB line is used by industry to meet high pressure requirements and medium to high volume. Capacities are available up to 100,000 cfm and pressure to 4 1/2 PSI Equivalent Static Pressure (SPE). Applications include: pneumatic conveying, air compression, furnace blowers, gas boosters, chemical processing, cooling applications, drying applications, gas exhausting and cryogenics.

High Pressure Material Handling Fans:

As the name suggests, the IBuffalo Blower – New York material handling paddel fan line is used by industry to meet high pressure material handling requirements. This open wheel design reduces the material build up typically seen with wheels that have a front plate/shroud. This particular star-shaped wheel has only six blades. This reduces the total surface area exposed to abrasion. The wheel also has a bullet nose that encapsulates the hub to aid in the deflection of material away from the center of the wheel. T-1 alloy wheel construction is utilized for increased yield strength and abrasion resistance. HPRB fans will handle capacities up to 15,000 cfm and pressures approximately up to 3 1/2 PSI SPE.

AH: Air Handling Fans:

The Buffalo Blower – New York AH line is primarily used for industrial exhaust applications handling gases, smoke and light material (dust). Capacity selections are available up to approximately 50,000 cfm and pressure selections up to 25 water gauge SPE.

MH: Material Handling Blowers:

The MH blower design is used for general material handling applications such as: conveying, paper trim, dust, sawdust, etc. The wheel is of rugged design and heavy duty construction. High strength alloys such as T-1 may be utilized to increase the blowers structural integrity in very abrasive and corrosive environments. The MH will handle capacities up to approximately 50,000 cfm and pressures up to 25 water gauge SPE.

Backwardly Curved Ventilators:

Backwardly curved blades are single thickness and curved away from the direction of rotation. A backwardly curved design can achieve relatively high efficiencies (Over 80%). Backwardly curved designs may be used for higher pressure and flow applications in corrosive and or erosive environments.

HPBC: High Pressure Backwardly Curved Fans:

The Buffalo Blower – New York HPBC line offers operating efficiencies over 80% and has a non-overloading horsepower curve. This particular backwardly curved wheel design has lower abrasion characteristics than other high efficiency designs and is excellent for handling dust laden gases. Capacities can be achieved up to 70,000 cfm and pressures up to 80 water gauge SPE.

HPSC: High Pressure Single Camber Blowers:

The HP-SC line is characterized by high pressure, medium volume and its backwardly curved blade design. The HP-SC can achieve efficiencies in excess of 80% and is suited for gas streams that are less severe in abrasion, corrosion and/or erosion than the HPBC. Air flow volumes can be achieved up to 60,000 cfm and pressures up 65 water gauge SPE.

Airfoil Fans:

The airfoil design is the most efficient of all centrifugal fans. As the name suggests, the blades are airfoil shaped. Typically, the wheel design consists of 9 to 16 blades of the airfoil contour curved away from the direction of rotation. This design provides for increased operating efficiency, reduced horsepower requirements and lower noise levels. The Buffalo Blower – New York airfoil fans are primarily used in clean air industrial application where power savings are significant. Buffalo Blower – New York AF line offers a quiet and efficient solution to industrial air handling applications. Efficiencies can be achieved over 80%, capacities up to 110,000 CFM and pressures to 25 water gauge SPE.

Backwardly Inclined Fans:

The backwardly inclined wheel design offers similar performance parameters to that of the backwardly curved. The blades are flat and lean away from the direction of the wheel’s rotation. It is characterized by high volume and medium pressure requirements. High efficiencies can be achieved and it features a non-overloading horsepower curve. The flat, backwardly inclined blades are best suited for clean gas or mildly contaminated airstreams. Buffalo Blower – New York offers a full line of single width backwardly inclined blowers. Efficiencies can be achieved in excess of 75%. Capacities are available up to 70,000 cfm and pressures to 35 water gauge SPE.
