Clash Of The Titans Video Game Set For Release July 2010
A new fantasy video game based on Greek mythology is set to hit the video game charts this summer.
The game is a remake remake of the epic 1981 film Clash Of The Titans was released in cinemas in April 2010 and whilst the video game version will be released almost three months after the film, the gaming world still wait with anticipation and excitement. Clash Of The Titans follows the story of the gods of Ancient Greece attempting to restore peace amongst the humans. Zeus ruled the humans, Poisedon ruled the sea but Hades was deceived by Zeus, his own brother, and was forced to rule the Underworld. As unrest breaks out amongst the humans, Hades trys to convince Zeus that fear is the only way to control them.
Developed by Game Republic and sure to prove popular as a birthday gift, this action/adventure title thrusts players into the battle for power between the human race and the hugely powerful gods. Perseus, the main character, battles his way through vast areas of swamps and mountains on his quest to return power to the human race. Due to be released on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, players can play solo or team up friends and other players online to defeat legendary villains including Medusa and the sea monster, The Kraken.
The 2010 film remake has received some rather mixed reviews from critics. Whilst the modern 3D adaptation has brought the classic film’s graphics up to date, many have argued that the authentic, mystical feel to the original has been lost whilst positive reviews comment that Louis Leterrier has made a modern day masterpiece out of a dated story. Gamers can only hope that the video game has remained true to the original film with adventure, mystery, mythology and danger being the forefront of the action.
