Where to Work

If you work from home, or even if you just like working on the move, then having an Asus K53 laptop or an Asus g74 laptop will be a Godsend to you. These laptops are so small that they can very easily be slipped into a bag without really adding to the weight, but at the same time they can run all of the productivity software that you are used to from Word to Paint.

If you are going to work away from home though, then you don’t just need an Asus K53 laptop – you also need somewhere that you can perch yourself to work. Making a little den for yourself somewhere where you can concentrate and work happily can be a great feeling and can be just as relaxing as doing the same at home – however you can sometimes come unstuck or miss out on the best opportunities if you don’t carefully plan out your choice of location.

Here we will look at some of the common places you can work using an ASUS K53 laptop and what the strengths and weaknesses are of each.

Coffee Shops: In many ways coffee shops are the ideal place to set yourself up and to work. These will give you a great space you can make your own, but they will also give you all the facilities you could want from space on a table, to cups of tea and coffee, to comfy chairs. You may even find that you can network here. If you are going to be here a while then look for a coffee shop with a power socket and wireless.

Of course there are downsides too though. One is that you can’t account for who is going to come into the shop while you’re working – expect occasions where you have kids running around you or partners arguing right in front of you. The other is that you may feel obligated to drink lots while you’re there which can get expensive and lead to a bit of a caffeine habit. They also tend to close early.

Pubs: It’s not just coffee shops that offer the advantages above. Pubs these days often also offer the benefits of sockets and wireless and often have great seating for settling down. They’re open much later too and their tea is cheaper (though often not as nice), but the downside is of course the drunken people that can get noisy or football games and other things being shown on the TV.

Libraries: If you can find a public library then often you will be able to sit and work here for free and with no obligation to drink coffee. The downside is that not all of them offer sockets, and that sometimes they attract unusual people due to being free and open to everyone. Note as well that you won’t be able to bring in your own food and drink and so may get thirsty fast.

Outdoors: Working out in the sun feels like living the dream and you’re free to sprawl out move around and stay there free. Of course the downsides are lack of Wifi for your Asus k53 laptop, and glare from the sun making it hard to see.
