Changing a Grass Tractor Tire by Hand
So for one motive or another you need to change the tire on your lawn tractor. Probably the tire can be dry rotted or maybe it has a hole in it someplace. Either way we will look at how to do this at home with a few tools most of us have in their toolbox. You will need 2 long toned headed screwdrivers, a couple vise grips, some meal soap, an electric shaver, hammer, New Tire and tube, along with an compressor (optional).
Taking out the old tire
The first thing we need to do is always to remove the rim from the tractor, I know this should be personal explanatory but I feel trying to be comprehensive here (LOL). When you have the rim till you find a hard surface area such as a work bench or even the floor. Release air from the tire, when most of the air is out cut the device stem off with the particular razor blade. Now with all the hammer begin beating the tire next to the rim bead until the wheel breaks free from this rim. Now you can switch the tire more than and do the same thing. Once the tire is free from the rim, clamp the vise grip to the rim lip. At this point take a screwdriver and place it inside the rim next to the vise grips to carry the tire slightly up off the rim. Now using the additional screwdriver slide the screwdriver around inside of the bead until the wheel bead has come off all the way around. Repeat this process yet again to remove the inner bead and remove the tire from the rim. If you are looking for most lawn tractor tires will probably be good for you.
Installing the modern tire
First you will need to lube the beads up real very good with dish washing cleansing soap. Now place the exhaust over the rim and also slowly start working the bead over the lip. This could take some effort and a few force. Once you have the bottom bead on you will now would like you insert your tubing evenly (note if you’re not replacing the tubing or wish to not have a tube you may skip this step, Adhere to what they you do not want a tv you must install a completely new valve stem). Yank the tubes control device stem up through the hole and clamp it with a set of vise grips to keep this from falling again through (needle sinuses work best). Now do the job the top bead onto the edge using the same procedure because earlier described.
You can have installed the car tire. Install enough oxygen to get the beads to set and then set the pressure to the recommended pressure on the fatigue. Your job is now full.
