Ancient Voices, Ancient Prophecies and Mayan Pottery

With 2012 approaching, do the predictions of the ancient Maya have a real meaning? Do they spell the end or simply a new beginning? This guide will provide you with enough information to judge for yourself.

Consider the source
Known as the Star Gazers, the ancient Maya were some of the greatest astronomers that have existed. Through careful observation, they developed a calendar even more accurate than that in use today.

Maya prophesies are meant to represent a clock combined with the condition of the human state. The Maya calendar charts time and combines it with the evolution of consciousness in all of its aspects and how man passes through it.

The source of the 2012 prophecies originates from two sources, the surviving Dresden Codex and a monument from a Maya ruin in Mexico called Tortuguero. It is possible other codices or writing existed on the subject but the utter destruction of all Maya documents by the Spanish during the conquest of the Americas makes it impossible to know.

What does the date 2012 Mean
According to the Maya, we are the living survivors of the prior “fourth sun world”. Our previous world was destroyed by a cataclysmic flood that left few survivors. We entered this current “fifth world sun” on BCE August 13, 3131.

It is not known how a stone age indigenous culture like the Maya were able to predict an astrological alignment that only takes place once every twenty-six thousand years. This alignment will once again take place on a winter solstice, on the 21st of December 2012. This date also coincides with the date the Maya Long Count Calendar reaches its end.

This date happens to coincide exactly with the earth and our sun’s alignment with what modern astronomers call the Great Rift. This Great Rift is a band of dark dust clouds located around the center of the Milky Way from our vantage point on earth.

To the Maya, this Great Rift was known as the Back Road, “Xibalba-Be”. This location was associated with the passage to the underworld. Evil lurked there. Today modern astronomers associate this location with the galactic center of our Milky Way galaxy.

On the particular date of December 21, 2012, the Maya believed our sun “Kinich-Ahau” will receive a spark of light from within the Black Road so as to once again set things in motion on the new “sixth sun world”. This spark of light is what those believing in apocalyptic scenarios refer when they mention solar flares taking place on that day.

The beginning of the sixth sun world is in order with the cosmos according to the Maya. Our sun receiving a synchronizing spark of light will set in motion a new world. It allows our galaxy to breath. The question is, can the inhabitants of the fifth world sun continue in the new one? Unfortunately, because of the complete destruction of most of the Maya documents by the Spanish, their words are silent.

The news of a just translated Maya tablet mentioning 2012 should at the very least inspire a few more Earth destruction movies. View Mayan pottery and Maya artifacts.
