How To Vacuum Your Carpet
Vacuuming your carpet seems like such a simple task. You turn it on, move it forward and back and then you are done, right? Well, it might surprise you to know that most people are doing it wrong. Read this article and learn how you can vacuum your home’s carpet the right way.
The first thing that you need to do is keep your vacuum in good shape. Check the belts often and make sure that they are tight and not frayed. Empty the dust cup or vacuum bag and check the filters to see if they are dirty. Lastly, check the hoses for obstructions. If all checks out, you are ready to go.
Pull your vacuum out and plug it in. Now turn it on and put it into position. Most people use the quick W pattern when vacuuming but this is not what we will be doing. Pull it straight back and then go forward at an angle to the next position. Now repeat the process b going straight back again. Be sure to overlap a few inches with each pass.
