Removable Tattoos- the Best Way to Get Started with Tattoos

When we think of a tattoo we think of a person with a tattoo gun, inscribing a tattoo and a willing person who despite the pain, continues to bear it until the tattoo is inscribed. This notion however is entire wrong; some types of removable tattoos are easy to apply and cause no pain. They usually fade off with repeated washing with water or chemical removers, or simply fade away with time.

Here are some of the few options available for creating removable tattoos on your body:

Henna (also called Mehndi in India): It is basically a paste extracted from the henna plant by crushing its leaves. Therefore it is a natural tattoo ink. Manufactured ones are available as well under different brand names. The paste is first applied on the skin and then wrapped under some plastic or tape. It may take as long as 5 or more hours for the color to set in the skin. The use of Mehndi is often ceremonial in nature. The color gradually fades away and takes about 3 weeks to a month to vanish completely.

Fusen and other similar removable tattoos: Fusen is the brand name of chewing gums manufactured by a Japanese company called Marukawa. It was popular for the fact that its chewing gum wrappers contained removable tattoos that can be applied to skin just by wetting the back of the wrapper with water. These tattoos would only last for a week at most. Many other brands too emulated Fusen and included such type of tattoos in their products as these were very popular among kids.

Airbrush tattoos: Simply painting your body with an airbrush to create simple or exquisite designs is probably the best and the quickest way to get a tattoo on your body. Your local tattoo shop may also have the option to inscribe such tattoos on your skin. Just like when choosing a permanent tattoo, an intricate and complex design may be chosen. The ink used usually closely resembles permanent ink.

Many tattoo shops these days provide both Henna and Airbrush based tattoos. The same precautions that apply to standard tattoos apply when inscribing removable tattoos as well. These is a small chance that your skin may be allergic to tattoo inks, as well as the fact that the ink used in some shops may be of inferior quality or adulterated. Removable tattoos are fun to use and they fade away without a trace. This is what makes some people prefer these types of tattoos over traditional ones.
