I simply have no idea what I would do minus my little car. It isn’t particularly large or excessively expensive but it meets my requirements. The public transportation system is completely inadequate and there aren’t any railway routes to certain areas. The public bus servive doesn’t operate all over town, only to and from the city hub and it is untrustworthy and subject to disruption because of union strike actions. I am aware of this through many years of having to rely upon public transport which is why I appreciate my vehicle all the more.
Another reason I adore my car is the fact that it’s an economy version and very affordable to run. Even though fuel tank is nowhere near as big as that of a 4×4, for instance, it costs me significantly less to fill it up because, not only is the gas tank smaller sized but the car also makes use of less petrol than a bigger vehicle would. The car frame is compact and light-weight and due to the fact it’s a 1. 3, plus it utilizes less gas to pull away than let’s say a 16-valve. Not only are the operating expenses not as much, servicing of cars like mine is cheaper too. Although it was a tiny scrape and my husband was equipped to re-attach the fender where it became unclipped due to the impact, I did not like the sensation of the proportions of the vehicle being greater than what I was used to. Of course I could easily get accustomed to having a trunk sticking out at the back but offered the choice I’ll stay with my hatchback, thank you very much!
