How to Clean New Era Caps

New Era caps, produced by the New Era Fitted Hat Company, typically feature the insignias of various sports teams and are the official caps of Major League Baseball. When these caps are subjected to everyday wear and tear, they can become dirty and unsightly. In order to avoid wearing a dirty cap, you should clean it. Removing any dirt or stains from your cap requires little effort and time.

Gently rub the headband of your cap with one of the washcloths in a circular motion. This will help you remove any sweat and oily residue that may have collected on the headband. Use the second washcloth to remove dirt, smudges or stains from the inside, outside and bill of the cap.

Rinse one of the washcloths thoroughly until the cloth is clean enough to pass through the entire cap without staining it. Pass the washcloth over the cap once more in order to remove any excess soap that may have been left behind.

3.
Brush any excess dirt or dust off of your baseball cap with a soft brush. Afterward, wrap a strip of masking tape around your index finger so that the adhesive side is on the outside. Dab your cap with the tape in order to remove any lint or dust that may have collected on it.

4
Dampen two small washcloths with water and apply a few drops of detergent and a small amount of stain remover such as “Spray and Wash” to both.
