Why I Found Six Months Worth Of Baby Clothes Online

As soon as I found out I was expecting I wanted to buy every baby thing I saw in stores and online! My husband had to keep me in check. We didn’t even know the sex of the baby yet. But when a friend gave me a long-sleeved onesie that said “I Love Mommy”, it was like the hole in the dam, and we quickly started accumulating things for our new child.

At first I only bought neutral gifts, because I didn’t know if I was having a boy or a girl. Plus, I thought, “Why not be practical?” We knew we wanted more than one child, so these infant purchases could be used again for baby number two, whether it was the same sex or not.

My first purchase was a white romper with a hoodie and embroidered pastel animals. I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it, because I could picture my baby snuggled up inside. When it arrived, I placed it in the empty drawer, which would eventually be packed with other items.

I knew we would have a couple of showers, so we decided to have an online registry. I know how people are, because I’m the same way.everyone wants to purchase the cutest outfit, whether it’s on the registry or not, so we got lots of clothes at our showers. Another benefit of the online registry was that my husband’s family in the United Kingdom could purchase gifts and have them shipped directly to us. One of the sweetest things was a matching bib and onesie set from my husband’s sister that said, “My Aunt Loves Me”.

Some of the best deals I found were online. One of my favorite and most handy purchases was my baby’s long-sleeved sleep sack. My baby was due in December, so I knew this would be very helpful in keeping him warm. You don’t have to worry about the blanket sliding off in the middle of the night. We liked the winter one so much we purchased sleeveless ones to use in the spring and summer.

I also enjoyed picking out layette sets. I’m a very detailed person, so I liked the fact that on baby’s first outings he would be matching from head to toe, often including blanket, bib, and burp cloth. And another item that was convenient was one-piece pajama sets. I think it’s more common to find ones with snaps, but online I found the ones with zippers. I bought these in size newborn all the way to 3-6 months. It really helped me during middle of the night diaper changes, plus the outfits were nice for days when we were not going to be leaving the house. It was comfortable for baby and easy for me!

From the first romper to the layette sets to the pajamas, it was easy to shop online from home and find just what I needed for my baby.
