No more Android tethering from now on
Google is in the process to disable tethering applications in Android Market due to requests made by some wireless operators like AT&T, T-Mobile,etc. These tethering apps are not liked by Wireless carriers as they enable the subscribers to switch to internet through their Android devices without paying any monthly fees to the operators.
With the unavailability of these Android applications many wireless subscribers would be required to pay $40per month as additional fees to be able to tether and compromise on security of their devices because the subscribers will now be asked to run an app which is not found in the Android Market.
Google is expected to block the tethering app as it lowers the revenue of wireless operators. From long time Google has been touting its Android to be superior to other systems due to its openness. Now, stopping access to an application for any other reason will be contradictory.
