Undercover video at Bachmann”s clinic taped by gay rights
Bachmann is no stranger to anti-gay rhetoric. Her strategist-husband last cheap feather hair extension year said homosexuals were barbarians who need to be disciplined.
“We have to understand: Barbarians need to be educated. They need to be disciplined. Just because someone feels it or thinks it doesn’t mean that we are supposed to go down that road. That’s what is called the sinful nature. We have a responsibility as parents and as authority figures not to encourage such thoughts and feelings from moving into the action steps,” Marcus Bachmann said as a guest on the Christian-based “Point of View” radio talk show May 12, 2010.
Bachmann”s clinic has collected over $137,000 in annual Medicaid payments for the treatment of patients since 2005, according to NBC News.
It will be curious to see whether the allegations and video damage the momentum Bachmann has enjoyed over the last few weeks.
The conservative congresswoman from Minnesota, who grew up in Iowa, found herself leading the pack in a recent poll released Monday. Alcoa CEO Kleinfeld also reiterated the company”s demand expectations wholesale peacock feathers for this year and beyond.
“Demand for aluminum continues to rise and so does growth in our major markets,” Kleinfeld said. “These factors support our projection that aluminum demand will grow 12 percent this year and will double by 2020.”
Alcoa said it expects to face continued worldwide currency fluctuations, as well as further increases in the costs of raw materials and energy.
Record growth in the alumina sector contributed to strong revenue in the second quarter, Kleinfeld said on the company”s conference call. Alcoa invested in a new facility in San Luis, Brazil, and cranked production back up in many of its U.S. smelters, which paid off as global alumina demand rose.
Alcoa now expects production of 22 billion cans of aluminum from China and 20 billion cans from Brazil in 2011. The company estimates that in ten years the China number will jump to 100 billion cans, and Brazil”s figure will double.
Alcoa”s reiteration of its belief that global aluminum demand will increase by about 12% was good news, according to Morningstar”s Freas, who feared that the company might back off that forecast.
