Article 6 Triumph Kent

I have lived in my current house for over twenty years. It is in a beautiful location and has been envied by friends and family alike. It is located in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. A beautiful place. My house is situated overlooking the river and the garden actually slopes down onto the banks. There is one house to the left of mine and the rest is just beautiful countryside. Quiet, peaceful and idyllic, until recently.

The house next door used to be owned by the vicar of the local church. Its rather a large house and I think it has been owned by the church since it was built. Unfortunately as congregations have dropped the church now shares a vicar with a nearby parish. As such the house was put up for sale and in my opinion the neighbours from hell have moved in.

I think the house was sold at auction and so the buyer probably got a very good price. The new proprietors have been living there for approximately three months now and they have caused me nothing but trouble since they arrived. The main problem is noise pollution. It is noise pollution of all descriptions. For example they have a dog. Nothing wrong with that, I have a dog but I don’t leave it outside until three in the morning whilst it barks it head off. They also seem to repair Triumph Kent motorbikes in the garages at the back of the house. The constant revving of engines is really annoying.

I thought about contacting the police but I have decided against that for now and I am going to take a softly softly approach. I will try and befriend them and then hint at some of the problems they are causing. I hope they are amicable people otherwise I could be in trouble.
