How to use Trapcall to Unblock Private and Blocked Calls. Are you getting harassing or repeated annoying calls but your caller ID shows “private” or blocked?  These blocked calls can just as easily be made unblocked or unprivate with a service called Trapcall. An additional service provided by Trapcall is a blacklisting feature which directs calls you reject to a recording saying your number is diconnected.

The few protestors of this privacy stripping service state victims of abuse trying to remain hidden from their abusors are put in danger because of their abusors using the Trapcall service. My personal viewpoint is if you have to block or private yourself to call them you probably should not be calling them in the first place.

Using Trapcall to turn blocked and private calls into a name, number, and address is deceivingly simple. Using Trapcall.com is as simple as ignoring calls that come in as blocked or private.  The call then instantly gets transferred to the Trapcall unblocking service. The call which is now instantly routed to the Trapcall server gets unmasked or unblocked and immediately sent back to you.

Now you can see the name and number (and address) of the caller and more intellligently decide if it is a caller you want to answer or not. Since Trapcall for unblocking blocked and private numbers is a month by month service you don’t have to worry about contracts or obligations of any type.

Trapcall seems to not be so compatible with pre paid cell phone services like Metro PCS or Boost Mobile. Although a one of a kind service like Trapcall could be expensive all three plans are less than $25.

The least expensive is plan is called BugTrap which reveals name and phone number of private calls as well as the blacklisting service for $5 a month. The next step up is the is MouseTrap plan for $10 per month which has the same features as BugTrap plus the ability to get 10 voicemail transcriptions (voicemails converted to text messages and sent to you), and missed call alerts plus the ability to see the callers address as well as his name and number.

At $25 the BearTrap plan also gives you the ability to audio record all your incoming calls. Although the BugTrap plan at $5 is fantastic the best deal overall may be the MouseTrap plan which gives you almost all the features for a little more money.

Bottom line is there is no competing service to TrapCall as of yet and at prices of $5 and $10 per month I think they would be pretty hard caller ID unblocking service to beat. If you like the idea of no one ever being able to hide who they are when they call you then Trapcall is for you.
