Folding Camping Chairs Afford Luxury In The Wilderness
I love camping. There’s something romantic about being removed from the urban lights and business of city roads that just sets a soul to peace. There are numerous ways to release every day stress, it makes me ponder whether there is really any worth in returning to every day “normal” life. I could see how completing my lifetime in nature, or perhaps 2 years as Thoreau did, would be so fulfilling.
I absolutely enjoy beginning the day’s camp fire as soon as the sun comes up in the morning. The smell of the camp fire all by itself delivers warmth not found anywhere else. While sitting by the campfire in my folding camping chair, I particularly delight in frying my eggs and boiling water for hot morning coffee or tea. In some way, eating food and drinking drinks made over an open fire leaves me feel somehow more satiated, minus the guilt of excessive calories. Perhaps it is because I burn all of the calories hiking, gathering wood or taking care of the campsite.
After breakfast, I delight in sitting in my folding camping chair by the edge of the river. Watching magnificent blue herons fly over or fish school by the shores awaken memories of my youth. I frequently hoped of landing the big fish back then. Now I do not honestly care very much about actually catching fish. It is pleasant to just watch my line float in the water while relaxing in my folding camping chair.
At this particular camp site, there is an overlook where I like to relax in my folding camping chair and look at the back country below. From this overlook, the only things you can view are woods, meadows, and streams. Red tail hawks and Golden eagles cruise the skies, and an occasional deer or bear can be viewed wandering about the fields. It’s not difficult to fall asleep in my folding camping chair while relaxing in this place.
In the afternoon, it’s pleasant to go hiking. There are many look out places where it is awesome to relax in a folding camping chair and have lunch. My preferred lunches include turkey or ham sandwiches, some fruit, and of course, chocolates. My folding camping chair is very convenient at lunchtime, as it provides a drink holder and a pocket to hold condiments and cutlery.
Subsequent to dinner, it is absolute fun to sit by the camp fire with other campers to delight in some campfire sing alongs. My favorites are the old time camp songs. It is wonderful when someone who actually knows how to play the guitar and knows campfire songs comes to the camp fire. Every now and then we will relax in our folding camping chairs for hours on end just hootin’ and hollerin’ and pretending we know a song or 2. We do not care much if we sing out of key, just as long as the singing makes us feel good.
Finally, at the end of the day, it is very pleasant to relax in my folding camping chair and gaize up at the stars in the sky, just like our ancestors did before us. There is something spiritual about star gazing that everyone should enjoy, while sitting in their folding camping chair.
