TO Slink named as Toshiba-Link, is an optical-fiber connecting system, which was initially manufactured by the company for its CD players. It quickly became the benchmark for many CD player businesses. But now the usage of TOSlink is not only restricted to CD players only. TOSlink is also used for car audio, office automation, navigation system, factory automation, etc. TOSlink is actually a transmission system for data, which uses optical signals instead of electronic signals. TOSlink is a lot more consistent as compared to electrical data transmission. This is because electromagnetic noise has no effect on the digital transmission of sound or data.
