How do I upload video from Sony Cyber-Shot to iPhoto successfully

“All of my mo vies from iphoto aren’t displayed in iM ovie. Although there is one m ovie that shows up and it is from a friends flip camera. All of my other mov ies taken with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H3 don’t show up. Could it be a compatibility problem with the camera? When I manually import a mo vie file from the Sony Cyber-shot it works but it does say the file has the wrong frame rate and needs to be converted. Hopefully someone has a solution soon or Apple releases an iMo vie update that solves this problem. This is an unacceptable problem.”

From forums macrumors

iPhoto is designed to allow importing from digital cameras, scanners, picture CDs and the Internet. Almost all digital cameras are recognized without additional software, as are many scanners. iPhoto supports most common image file formats. After photos are imported, they can be optionally titled, labeled, sorted and organized into groups (known as “events”).
