To live in Marco Island
Marco Island has always been one of my favorite places to vacation in. It is located on the Gulf of Mexico on the southwestern coast of Florida. It also happens to be the largest of ten thousand islands. Anyone who has been here for some time is sure to fall in love with the white beaches, turquoise bays and waterways et al. It always surprises me that people who live here tend to get used to the natural, scenic beauty of the place. How can they? I have also been to the island for work and let me tell you that going to the beach after work is quite a lot of fun too.
The city in Florida is the 400th registered city in the state. The island itself is only 24 square miles, making it a fairly exclusive place to live in. The population is roughly about 15,000 residents. In winters there is an influx of people who are looking to escape the winter chill. That takes up the population to roughly 35,000 people.
Since it is close to the water it also offers a lot of exciting water sports. Even if you aren’t looking for something rigorous you can go fishing. For more strenuous water recreation you can choose from yachting, deep-sea fishing, swimming, surfing and all.
Not only that if you want to stay on land then everything from championship golf to tennis is readily available. It goes without saying that a couple of days in Florida’s famous island can help you really relax and unwind.
Since it is getting to be a tourist hotspot, Marco Island, has a number of world class restaurants, outdoor cafes, and family restaurants. Most of these have an ocean view and can lead to the creation of some great memories. In addition, the city itself has a very rich historical background. What this means is that you will have numerous museums to go to as well. Being close to Naples is also a huge advantage.
Moreover, for those people who are looking to be close to nature and wildlife, there is nothing like the island’s scenic beauty and wildlife in the aquatic wildlife. Just imagine the beautiful updates you can put on Facebook!
Most people especially baby boomers have been viewing Marco island as the perfect retirement getaway. I can relate with the sentiment since the weather stays mild throughout the year providing you with a number of activities to take up whenever you wish to.
Now if we speak of real estate then Marco Island real estate can be found in all price ranges. Property in Florida’s famed island is bound to get dearer since the land available is only so much. You can choose from water front condos, detached homes, beach front properties or properties facing one of many canals et al to live in.
So you should know what you are looking for and in what price range. Different things like location, size et al determine the price of the property in question.
