Men’s Chinos

Chances are you’re going to be wearing men’s chinos this summer, and so will everyone else. They’re the must-have summer trouser, so follow these tips of how to wear yours and stand out from the crowd.

Chinos have had a bit of an image makeover over the past couple of seasons, thanks in part to the celebrities who have been spotted in them; Tinie Tempah, David Beckham and One Direction are just a few famous names who have worn them recently.

Chinos are most often seen in muted neutral shades like stone and tan, so try something different with the bright coloured chinos that are hitting the high street. From red to green or summer’s pastel tones, some coloured chinos will instantly refresh your look and add a vibrant colour pop.

Coloured chinos are surprisingly versatile, and can be toned down with neutral pieces, or if you’re feeling brave wear yours with other bright shades. Think a coloured hoodie, print tee and plimsolls for a cool, casual look.

One of the easiest ways to style your chinos is with nautical/ preppy styling. Take a pair of slim leg stone chinos and wear them with a Breton stripe t-shirt, navy blazer and boat shoes for the timeless nautical look. Try rolling up your trouser legs for a stylish touch.

If you’re looking for something a bit different from your trousers, head to River Island where you’ll discover chinos with contrasting turn ups, waist bands and pockets as well as a wide selection of colours for cool summer style.
