Buy Yourself a Bit of Bond – Holiday Heaven

If you could dress your man for a beach holiday, what would you take? Fashionable mens sandals? A leopard print thong? Crisp linen shirt? Surfer beach shorts? Perhaps move him away from old worn t-shirts and dress him up with cotton polo necks and a light cashmere sweater for romantic sunsets. Or even better, how about getting him into THOSE James Bond trunks that Daniel Craig wore?

Yes, you can buy them!

If you had a spare £3,000 – £5,000 for these super sexy shorts together with a fella who’d look good in them, you can transform your man into James Bond for your holiday break. Although it’s possible no one will ever quite compare to that iconic shot of Craig emerging from the Caribbean Sea dripping with sex appeal, you can now actually buy the La Perla shorts in an upcoming London charity auction.

It marks the 50th anniversary of the 007 film franchise, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first screening of Dr No. Christies, the infamous auctioneers responsible for hosting the auction have included memorabilia from every single one of the 23 Bond films ranging from fibreglass shotguns, black velvet three-piece dinner suits, props, jewellery, costumes, first edition posters, and much more.

If you want to see the trunks up close, then there is a public exhibition between 28th September and 5th October with an online auction running alongside with lots beginning at £50 with no reserve selling price. Although, there will be fierce competition to snap up these popular Bond items.

There will be an invitation only sale with ten ‘star lots’ including handpicked memorabilia from the archives of EON Productions Limited; the film company that owns all copyright for the James Bond films. It will also include ‘James Bond experiences’ from many of the films including the anticipated release of the latest Bond venture, ‘Skyfall’.

Bond or Bond Girl?

Perhaps your man isn’t the Bond type, or point blank refuses to wear those trunks. But don’t click your clogs at him – become a Bond girl instead! What would it feel like to wear the silk wrap dress worn by Jinx (Halle Berry) in Die Another Day? Replay that film and see her sexily remove it before she dives backwards into the sea. The gold cone pendant worn by Bond villain ‘Professor Joe Butcher’ in License to Kill would make an interesting statement jewellery piece, especially when twinned with a Bond-esque bikini.

So, next time you’re packing the same old holiday garb, think what would Bond do? How could you add some 007 excitement to your holiday wardrobe with or without the help of Christie’s auction?
