WOW Druid Leveling Guide
Congratulations, you have chosen to play a Druid.
If a WOW Druid is new to you then read on to get some information to get you off to a good start. We will be going over the overall playing strategies most beneficial when using a Druid in world of warcraft.
When starting out as a Druid in the original world of warcraft you have two races to choose from. If you choose to go with the Alliance, your Druid will have to be a night elf. For the Horde Druid, the tauren is the race you will have to choose. With the Cataclysm expansion pack your choices for Alliance will be night elf or worgen and for the Horde you can play a tauren or troll. Consider the different traits of each race to help you decide to go with the Alliance faction or the Horde faction.
Some points to consider when choosing a Druid race:
The night elf is a race of stealth having a dodge bonus that greatly helps the night elf avoid complicated hand to hand situations. The night elves’ Prowl spell gives them heightened scouting and hiding abilities. If tanking is more your style then check out the tauren which get a 5% bonus to total health making them much better as a Druid tank.
War Stomp is a neat skill of the tauren race which lets you stun your enemies, letting you do extra damage for a period of time.
When first starting out, with whatever kind of character you have, don’t over complicate things. For the first several levels simply get a feel of your character and what you are able to do. Whenever possible don’t stay in the heat of battle too long.
Fight from a distance in the beginning using spells and long range attacks. But don’t misinterpret this as just fooling around. Use this time to concentrate on completing quests and plenty of them. If you think you have completed all the quests in your present area check again to be sure.

Learn everything that local trainers can teach you and don’t move on in world of warcraft until you are sure you have learned it all. Start looking into your professions and get an idea of which ones you might want to specialize in. Take some time out to learn about the different world of warcraft professions
available. Each character class will benefit differently with each profession, find out which will help your character the most. Most players don’t think about getting a mount until much latter, but I suggest planning ahead and saving some gold so you can get a mount as soon as you hit level 20.
