Use Past Lives Reincarnation Regression To Understand The Past

The theory of past lives reincarnation and other births that the soul goes through is dictated by the Hindu philosophy of karma (deeds) and athma (soul).

According to the hindu’s scriptures the soul is defined as that part which is indestructible and changes its form or body as humans changes their clothes after they have outlived their useful years of life.

The philosophy differs greatly from the Christian theory of past lives reincarnation that centers around the resurrection of Christ.

The Hindus state that the soul can take any form, man, woman or animal. The deeds or karma of a human being in the present, say the Hindus, will determine the life he or she will lead in the next life.

Several scriptures and the Hindu religion talk about past lives reincarnation extensively. Notably, a major one of these is the Bhrigu Sanhit, which apparently had an accounting of the future and past lives for all living souls. This scripture has been lost over the centuries, however.

In regard to modern-day reincarnation theory, Dr. Ian Stevenson has collected some compelling data. Even though modern science scoffs at the idea of past lives reincarnation, Dr. Stevenson believed in it. Therefore, although it can’t be said that his data is the most respected scientific data on the theory, it’s very famous and his cases are very well documented because Dr. Stevenson held a degree in medicine and was a psychiatrist.

Unlike today’s past life regression therapists, though, Dr. Stevenson didn’t put his patients into trance or hypnotize them. Instead, he interviewed children who had spontaneous recollections of the incidents they experienced in their past lives.

Among his most well noted and perplexing cases was that of a young boy of 6 years from a tiny village in Punjab who claimed to have been a man named Satnam Singh.

This young boy had never been to what he said was the man’s home village of Chakkchela and had never lived there, even though he could describe the place with amazing.

The boy’s family tried to dissuade him from making such statements, but he continued to claim that his name was Satnam, even going so far as to reveal the name of the man’s father. As Satnam, he said that he had been killed while coming home from school on his motorcycle.

Closer investigation found thatSatnam had indeed died in this manner. The boy was also able to reveal personal information about the family, but the “clincher” was that when the child’s and the man’s handwriting samples were compared, they were identical.

Stephenson’s collection also includes another popular account of past lives reincarnation, from a young girl named Swarnalata. This little girl was just three years old and vividly remembered her past life as a young woman she called Biya Pathak.

The young child described the house that she lived in her past and took her father to the property when they were traveling back from the railway station in their town. The child continuously suggested that she had lived in that particular area. Also she told that they could get a better cup of tea in her house than on the road.

Her recollections were completely validated when she recognized the young woman’s brother, and addressed him by a pet name the young woman had called him, from a group of nine people.

Stevenson’s files listed dozens of these types of cases. Further, Stevenson states that when injury happens in one life, it can manifest in the next as a birthmark in the same location as the injury.

Instances of this include a man from Thailand claiming himself as his own maternal uncle. He showed his birthmark on his head claiming that he had been killed by a knife blade to his head. Investigations revealed that his Uncle had indeed been killed that way with the wound in the same place.

Another child claimed that he had been a man named MahaRam, who had been killed by close range shots to the chest area. And in fact, the child had birthmarks on his chest that looked like they could have been bullet wound scars.

Dr. Brian Weiss is considered to be the father of modern past life regression, and he and several other eminent authorities in the field of psychiatry and psychology consider that the concept of rebirth is in fact a plausible one. Nonetheless, science itself remains very skeptical about it.

It is however worth noting that many people experience a complete disappearance of fears and phobias they’ve carried their entire lives after they’ve undergone several sessions of past life regression therapy.
