On the subject of PPC you first need to come up with a list of key phrases that pertain to your product. When you enter them into your Google Adwords account you need to put them into the proper match setting. Google automatically puts them into Broad Match which means if your selling footballs and someone searches for how to treat athletes foot Google will run your ad and waste your money. So choose either Phrase Match which means the searcher has to come close to your key phrase or Exact Match which means it has to be a perfect spot on match of your key phrase.

Your ads should be simple and to the point. You need to create one ad for each key phrase so whatever they search for they find the phrase in the ad and key word. This will give you a high conversion ratio and success.

Start with a low budget and monitor your results several times a day. I personally have a screen open to my Adwords account always.

You need to figure out which phrases convert to clients and which phrases dont so its a constant planting and weeding. Within 90 days you should have a good feel for this. Google has an extraordinary support mechanism on their site and they also have a Google Adwords certification class you can take online.
