Glashütte Original has created the brand’s frist pocket watch, Glashütte Original Pocket Watch No. 1, in a limited edition of just 25 pieces. And this handsome pocket watch will be officially unveiled at the Baselworld 2010.
The Glashütte Original Pocket Watch No. 1 is done in 18k rose gold, and the dial is presented on white enamel with blued steel hands, slim Roman numerals and running seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Both the dial and case back is fitted with hinged lids. And the watch also comee with a tasteful chain done in 18k rose gold. The exact size is unknow though, the watch looks having an average pocket watch size.
Beating inside in the hand-wound 84-10, a brand-new caliber movement by Glashütte Original. This movement has two distinctive features aside from the regular time. Firstly, it has a quarter repeater mechanism operated through the lever on the side of the watch. And the audio form is precise to the the closest quarter hour. Secondly, the movement has a a zero-reset mechanism for the seconds hand. When you pull out the crown and set the time, the mechanism resets the seconds indicator.
