A Real Guitar and You
Due to the advancement of modern technology, almost everything now has a computer stimulation version. For instance, children now have online versions of their favorite classic games such as playing house, cooking and doctor games. Not only that, young adults also have a new craze which involves the use of gaming console guitars which is a gadget that has several buttons to push for chords, a whammy bar and an area to strum in one motion.
Although playing the game console is very entertaining, it doesn’t replace the experience of playing the real guitar. For starters, a real guitar, such as an acoustic guitar has nineteen to twenty four frets and six to even seven strings in some Ibanez Guitar brand electric guitar models. The main frame of acoustic guitars and bass guitars are also bigger than that of the gaming gadget.
If you have never played guitar in your life before and you want to start now, you might as well go play a real guitar directly and save from its affordability, versatility, portability and economically rather than purchasing a gaming console, accessories, the controllers, DVD game and what not. It’s not that gaming is bad; it’s just that music should be learned through an instrument and not a video game. However, if you want to separately play the guitar and the video game at the same time, and then by all means do so as there are also benefits from playing it like making you get a better sense of rhythm and timing as the video game needs you to play to timed glowing notes on the television screen.
Learning to play the guitar for the very first time is an exciting phase for every budding musician’s life and the experience such as playing your first chord or lead is overwhelming; and besides, there is more to music than just pressing a few buttons on a game controller. If you want to jumpstart your career as a musician, it also wouldn’t sound too good if your fellow musicians would know that you learned because of a video game.
Also, if you play the guitar very well already, you wouldn’t need to play a game stimulator anymore as you can now play any song you want regardless of its difficulty, speed and genre. So do not limit yourself and explore your skill and ability by playing a real guitar.
