Using an IP VPN for Added Security

Today, companies need security when sending information across a network to another computer.  These companies may have sensitive information, such as private information about clients, that cannot be allowed to be seen by anyone outside the company.  The most widely used network is the internet, which is a WAN (wide area network) that connects many smaller LANs (local area networks) to each other.  The local area networks will go through a ISP (internet service provider) to gain access to the internet.  It is possible to secure a local area network in order to keep unwanted users out, however many business will turn to a VPN instead.

A VPN (virtual private network) is a hidden network that is separate from the wide area network that the public uses.  Companies will use a VPN to send sensitive information in order to safeguard it from people who have no business with this information.  The VPN operates through private routers and transmitters, effectively creating a tunnel for companies to connect, keeping information safe and secure.  The VPN may be safe in itself, but there are further measures to take in order to keep access to information on a limited basis, such as requiring a password, encrypting the information or using biometrics.   The military, police officers and banks use VPNs to keep themselves safe from unwanted users, however there is a higher security measure that can be taken, that is using an IP VPN.

An IP VPN (internet protocol virtual private network) allows information to transmit across a VPN with a specific destination and no stops.  An IP is a specific address, usually comprised of numbers, that information can be sent to specifically.  When the information is assigned to transmit to a specific IP, it will go directly to that address across the network, giving unwanted users no opportunity to get a hold of it.  Since a wide area network is largely unmonitored, as is most virtual private networks, using an IP VPN will ensure that the information gets across the network quickly without being picked up by any other device.  The IP is specific to a device, every computer has a unique IP address, and any information tagged to go to a specific IP address will only go to the machine with the matching IP.  Sending information across an IP VPN is a secure way for companies to connect and share information

The IP VPN is the only way many companies will send sensitive information.  The information will shoot across the network to a specific computer and may even be encrypted and password protected.  There are many people who would like to use this sensitive information for purposes other than what it was intended for, so many companies will use this measure to protect itself and it’s clients.  It is useful for banks, the military industrial complex and other businesses and organizations to use to safeguard themselves.  In a world where online safety and security is a necessity, using an IP VPN is the best solution.
