TDVisor
TDVisor is a head-mounted display for 3D video viewing. In 2007, it was supported in a Northrop Grumman system called RainStorm.
TDVCodec
TDVision has used the 2D+Delta method of Stereoscopic Video Coding for an encoder product called TDVCodec. Key features of the encoding format include up to Full HD (1920×1080) per-eye stereoscopic resolution, and 2D backwards compatibility with existing televisions and Cable television, Blu-ray, ATSC and PC based systems.
Comparison to other stereo related technologies
Autostereoscopy, LCD shutter glasses, polarization, Circular polarization, field sequential, 3D vertical interlaced, 3D horizontal (pixel) interlaced and Holography are based on optical methods to trick the eye or split video information into left and right eye views. When the brain perceives flickering, overlap, color differences, or other visual artifacts, this can cause side effects including headaches, eye strain, and dizziness. The company asserts that its technology provides the user with 3D continuous video streams[citation needed] at high resolution and provides a large equivalent screen size in the TDVisor product, allowing the user to perceive the information as real images.
