Bruce Borup Educational Legacy
Bruce Borup is presently the chairman of the GSC Capital LLC. Despite his very busy working schedule, he still finds time and the pleasure to generously share his vast knowledge in business and about many other things, especially on how to become future professionals for students who also want to be successful like him. His academic life started when Mr. Borup taught undergraduate courses in Psychology of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development and Quality Management at the Alaska Pacific University. In the said learning institution, he was also appointed as a department chairman. Likewise, he taught Fast -Growth Management, Venture Funding Leadership, International Marketing and Finance.
While working at the Alaska Pacific University, he had received an accolade that was known as the university-wide “Top Teaching “recognition. Incredibly, he was the consistent recipient of this particular award for years. Bruce Borup was unanimously chosen by his peers, students and the University’s President Forum Speaking about his lasting legacy in the field of education. Borup it was the founder of the “Alaska Business Plan Competition and Elevator Roast” entrepreneurship competitions. These very prestigious contests had successfully produced new businesses that were funded so exceptionally.
Through the genius mind of Bruce Borup, the above mentioned programs had gained international acclaim within the bounds of SIPE. Moreover, these programs that were initiated by Bruce, was awarded as the first runner-up by a well-known educational foundation by the name of the Kaufman Foundation for Entrepreneurship Programs. In the light of all these successful educational endeavors, he was given two distinctions. These are the Sam Walton Fellowship awards.
After receiving numerous accolades, he decided to serve CFC as its Chief Financial Officer. CFC is a company which provides the services of aerospace engineering and manufacturing services. As expected, Borup was instrumental in making CFC to attain higher heights in the aerospace field. One of his business contributions in the company is to make CFC the fastest growing defense contractor in the United States. To make his career and life even more colorful and meaningful, this famous business and management icon suggested the concept of “Adaptive Leadership”, to conquer and solve the ill-effects of global recession.
