Installing Gas & Electric Heaters:
- Finalize a spot where heater needs to be placed and install it on the discharge side of the pump.
- Usually, other equipments like motor and pump assembly, and a filter are located at a safe distance away from the spa but are close to electric and gas supply. Fix the gas heater in an area where these equipments are placed.
- Identify the water line coming out of the filter and deploy the heating unit. This heating unit is a square shaped box which has a gas fitting, power hook up for switches & thermostat.
- The heating unit is now connected with inlet and outlet water pipes
- Using the wire nuts electric power supply for the controls box is connected on the heater.
- Crescent wrench is then used to connect the gas line from the gas supply to the gas fitting on the heater.
- In an almost similar fashion, an electric heater can be installed.
Troubleshooting Spa Heaters:
- Appropriate amount of time needs to be provided for the heater to work.
- Ensure that both the heater & the pump are functional.
- Switch on the heater only after the tub is filled with water or else it will catch fire in seconds.
