This tool can align in thickness to make it more adaptable than a lot of the other lamello joiners in its class.
In a side by side study, the Porter Cable 557 has more value per dollar than any of its competition. Also, if you really wanted a biscuit joiner bolder than the Porter Cable 557 domino joiner you would have to pay significantly more!
