Step 2: Select an Export Format and Destination Folder

Click “Profile” (usually located below where your DVD’s files are displayed) and select the format you want from the drop-down list. Just below “Profile” is “Output”, where you can browse your computer for a better destination folder for the DVD Ripper to output your converted films.

Step 3: Press “Start” to Rip

Once you have selected the output file format as you like, you’re ready to rip. Simply press the “Start” button. Ripping your DVD should take a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the quality and duration of the film you choose.

Part 2: Edit, Merge and Crop Your film

If you want to edit your DVD film, you will need to do it before you rip. After your DVD files have finished loading, you can use DVD Ripper to edit, combine and crop your DVD film. You can access all available editing functions by either clicking “Edit” in the menu bar or by right-clicking one of your DVD’s individual file folders, which are listed in the file display tray.

From the Video Edit workspace, you can perform the following functions:

Crop: Zoom in or out, change the aspect ratio and create a custom crop.
