Storyline

Although this is a story of a child, the Broadway musical is not the most appropriate for a younger audience. If you locate tickets, you will find that the dialogue is littered with adult language throughout that may shock children and adults alike.
There are also two scenes where Elliot’s mother comes back from the dead, which might prove too intense and frightening for younger children. The dark nature of the musical is another reason why kids might not enjoy as much as other shows on Broadway.
