Myzone Headphones Review – Are These Wireless TV Headphones Worth the Coin?

When you are shopping for a pair of headphones, you should expect that the audio quality is better if the price tag is higher. But that isn’t necessarily always the case because there are some pairs of headphones that focus more on the build quality. Other models do not even have wires as they are built for wireless convenience. Generally, $100 can get you a nice midrange set of headphones that most consumers would enjoy.  For this reason, you might be a bit alarmed when you see a pair of wireless headphones that cost only $20. But if you look closely, these are wireless TV headphones and they should come outfitted for a special purpose, and perhaps not much else. The wireless headphones in question are the My Zone Headphones and they are focused on delivering TV audio to the headphones so you can listen to your favorite TV shows without bothering the people around you. This Myzone headphones review will determine if that $20 is really worth it and if the headset delivers the core function promised as advertised.

The Headphones are Quite Comfortable and Lightweight
This pair of wireless TV headphones feels light on the hand which is important when wearing the headphones for long periods of time. The headphones are also padded so there should be less pressure on your ears. And you can adjust them to comfortably fit your head.

The Instructions Make the Setup Process Pretty Simple
Getting started with the My Zone Headphones isn’t very straightforward but there are instructions that come with the package so you can set everything up in a few steps. The very first step involves equipping the headphones with 2 AAA batteries as well as equipping the transmitter with 2 AA batteries. There is only a single cable to worry about and you have to plug it in the audio out ports found on your TV or cable box. Any TV should be supported including those old bulky displays. Overall, this Myzone headphones review is looking pretty positive so far.

Sound Quality is Decent Enough
This isn’t the type of headphones that you want to hook up to your smartphone or portable media device. However, you won’t be able to use your headphones with these devices anyway and they don’t have Bluetooth. The audio quality is really optimized for TV use and quite frankly, it is good enough to keep this Myzone headphones review in the positive direction. There is also a radio function and you do not really need good drivers for listening to radio stations.

The Wireless Features Define This Product
Once you set up these headphones and put the transmitter into position, you should be able to listen to the sounds coming from your TV without any interference as long as you are less than 100 feet away from your transmitter. This distance should be sufficient for you to listen to the TV at full volume even if you are in another room. Any small house means that all rooms should have wireless coverage.

We think the $20 Price is Just Right
The build quality and audio quality is nothing to brag about but once again, this is a Myzone Headphones review that is purely focused on TVs so it is most important for the wireless features to work and for the headphones to be comfortable. Fortunately, these boxes are ticked and as long as you do not expect the headphones to do other things like connecting to other devices, you should be satisfied with the performance of the My Zone Headphones and the low price point is certainly fair for what is offered.
