Safety check will be carried out on the high-speed expresses
On the 12th August, the Chinese government has announced officially that the central government has decided to carry out exams on the high-speed expresses running at the speeds over 200 km/h. This exam will be implemented between the middle of August and the middle of September. All the trains running at the speeds over 200 km/h and more than 10 railway bureaus will be put under examination. Factories offering relevant facilities will also be checked.
The purposes of the check are to find the safety risks lingering the high-speed expresses and strengthen the safety sense of the railway staff. In this way, the potential accidents will be prevented from happening. Details of the following aspects will be focused on; they are 1) the implement of the producing safety; 2) the insurance of safe running operation of the railway system; 3) the quality of the railway facilities; 4)the safety of construction of the railway projects; 5) the environment in which the high-speed expresses run; etc. Railway bureaus in ten cities such asBeijing,Shenyang, Zhnegzhou,Wuhan,Xi’an,Jinan,Shanghai,Nanchang,Guangzhou, and Chnegdou will be suoervised.
It is pointed out this safety check is aimed at preventing the serious accidents from happening. The railway ministry need to learn a lesson from the past experience.
