Mechanism, Energy-Saving, and Benefit of Evaporative Coolers

Evaporative Coolers work by drawing hot air from outside the building through a wet pad which works to cool the outside air before blowing it into the house. Thus, the air is not only cool but also humid. This process is possible through the function of several main cooler’s parts: the pump, the thermometer, the pad and the fan. Without these core evaporative parts, these air coolers will not be able to do its job.

The cost to run this type of cooler can be as little as 1/10 the amount it costs to run an air conditioner. In fact, some community power companies in hot, dry climates will actually offer residents a rebate if they install an evaporative cooler because they recognize the effective, efficient cooling capabilities of the technology. One misconception is that these coolers are used to cool vast areas. This is also incorrect. However, with one of these coolers you can definitely clean up your electricity bill by football fields.
