Grand Rapids Wedding Officiant Delivers Perfect Traverse City Summer Wedding

This past June Grand Rapids Wedding Officiant Cori Friar had the honour and privilege of travelling to the beautiful town of Traverse City, MI to be part of Jason and Mary LaFramboise’ wedding as theirs. Cori and Mary have been great friends for more than ten years, so when she asked Cori to officiate their wedding she was elated, and immediately went to work to plan the perfect ceremony for her and her groom. As part of the planning, the Grand Rapids Wedding Minister asked Mary and Jason to write a love letter to each other, that I would then read aloud. This was the perfect way to let each of them express to each other how they felt, while also taking the pressure off of having to hold it together while trying to read it aloud themselves. So on Friday, June 15 2012, against a perfect backdrop at the Old Mission Lighthouse, Mary and Jason exchanged words of love, encouragement, hopes, and passions in front of their closest friends and family. Here’s one of our favourite parts from their wedding:
‘Jason and Mary, you have come here today to declare your commitment and love to one another in front of your closest family and friends. Marriage is perhaps the most rewarding and yet challenging of adventures in human relationships. Marriage is rooted with love, but requires compassion, respect, honesty, faith in each other, and dedication to preserve this precious bond. I have no doubts that the commitments you make here today in front of your family and friends will withstand the test of time, and you will lead a long, loving, happy marriage filled with passion, adventure and excitement.’
Congratulations Mary and Jason as you begin this new chapter in your life together. As an ordained minister in Grand Rapids MI, I’m so grateful I got to be part of it with you!
