Zanzibar: Welcome to Next Paradise

When it comes to the crystal clear sea and sand as white as talcum powder, invariably come to our imagination so-called “paradise of the South Seas” as Zanzibar, an island that is a true concentration of these beauties a few hours by plane from Italy.

WHERE IS – Zanzibar is an island that is part of Tanzania. Tanzania, located in East Africa, bordered to the north by Kenya, Lake Victoria and Uganda, to the east by the Indian Ocean, to the south by Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia, and on the west by Zaire, Burundi and Rwanda.

HOURS OF FLIGHT – With direct charter flights from Milan and Rome, Zanzibar is easily reached in about 7/8 hours of flight.

WHEN TO GO – The best time to travel to Zanzibar is from December to March and from June to October, while the other months correspond approximately to those periods of large and small rain.

WHERE TO STAY – Unguja is a coral island (the largest in East Africa) about 87 km long and 39 wide at the point of extension, in the past it was an important center for the slave trade in Africa. Today it houses the capital, Zanzibar City, with a really Arab, whose main attraction is the Palace of the Sultan that rises majestically on the waterfront.

WHAT TO SEE
Jozani Forest, a nature reserve of approximately 2945 hectares in the south-east of Stone Town, visit its most interesting parts in about two hours. It is full of eucalyptus trees, giant palms and palm oil but also animals.

The historic center of Stone Town, in the last century, this city was the most important settlement of the whole of East Africa. Beautiful and unforgettable are the buildings with the beautiful gates rich studs and padlocks.

Nungwi, location in the far north of the island takes about an hour from Stone Town is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs and beaches, you can see the work of carpenters who built by hand with simple tools and the “dhow “the traditional boats.
