License-Free Shipping App for Business Central Coming to AppSource

(1888 PressRelease) Coming soon to Microsoft AppSource is a license-free shipping app for US-based SMBs using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Order Ship Express from Insight Works makes it simple to ship packages within the US and at discounted UPS or USPS rates. The soon-to-be-released app will also target online vendors leveraging Shopify.

Proving, once again, why it’s the North American leader in apps for manufacturing and distribution, Insight Works is launching a license-free shipping app that is tailor-made for any US-based business regularly shipping parcels through United Parcel Service (UPS) or the United States Postal Service (USPS). The app is designed specifically for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and will be available in June 2022.

Whether a business ships a few parcels a week or thousands a month, the Order Ship Express app allows them to manage all their shipping details from Business Central, including real-time rates based on carrier, service, and delivery options.

“Whether you’re a one-person operation or run a large warehouse, the Order Ship Express app for Business Central streamlines your shipping process while minimizing shipping costs,” said Brian Neufeld, Director of Marketing, Insight Works. “Once you install the app, you automatically receive USPS Commercial Plus Pricing (CPP) regardless of the volume shipped. That’s three percent less than retail USPS rates.”

Neufeld notes Order Ship Express users also save big when shipping via UPS, as users can access the UPS Digital Access Program that provides out-of-the-box discounts on eligible packages with no required pre-negotiated rates, no minimums, and no hassles. Discounts can include up to 48 percent off UPS ground shipments and up to 62 percent off daily rates for UPS Second Day Air Service and UPS Next Day Air Service.

In addition to all the savings, Order Ship Express makes getting shipping labels even easier. Users can generate and print shipping labels from Business Central by simply entering the package dimensions and weight and clicking “Get Rates.” This lets them choose from all available shipping options and rates, print and affix the label, and then send the parcel. Order Ship Express also accommodates multiple label printing when shipping multiple packages to the same destination.

Another benefit of this app is the recently announced partnership between Microsoft and Shopify. This means businesses can leverage Business Central to run their Shopify ecommerce business. The Order Ship Express app is ideal for those using Shopify and Business Central in the US.

Last, but not least, Order Ship Express makes it easy for users to add a shipping rates mark-up to include handling. Whether it’s packaging costs, preparing shipments, or working with carriers, handling sales orders costs time and money and Order Ship Express ensures businesses get paid for it by automatically adding a mark-up to shipping rates. Mark-up calculations can be assigned at the customer’s account level in Business Central, ensuring the calculated rates automatically appear on sales orders.

“Insight Works exists to provide businesses and end-users with tools and apps that legitimately add value to their operations,” concluded Neufeld. “The Order Ship Express app is yet another tool that companies of any size can use to help improve their efficiency – saving them time and money.”

Business Central apps from Insight Works can be installed by visiting AppSource. The Order Ship Express app will be available in June, 2022. To learn more about Order Ship Express, visit the Insight Works website.
