status under the act of Parliament of India in 2006, empowering Institute to award degrees and other academic distinctions. NIFT fashion design institute has its
twelve centres in all over India that is New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Raebareli, Bhopal, Kannur, Patna and Shillong . NIFT
not only has its centre in India but also has one centre at Mauritius. The Institute provides a common platform for fashion education, research and training. It offers
four-year bachelor and two-year master programmes in the areas of Design, Management and Technology.

Bachelor’s degree is of 4 years at NIFT. On first year of bachelor’s degree at NIFT, there will be common foundation programme and from next year students have to
select the course in which they have to specialize and post graduation program will be of 2 years. The upper age limit for applying in under graduation program at NIFT
is 23 years and for post graduation program there is no age limit.
NIFT Design has developed a range of Continuing Education Programmes, which have been developed in consultation with reputed academicians and industry practitioners.
The CE Certificate Programmes at NIFT are aimed at complementing the practical knowledge of the industry professionals with formal technical education in their
respective areas of work.
The participants receive a NIFT certificate on successful completion of the programme. The flexible schedule enables the participants to pursue the programme without
