With Freshlook Colourblends, Your Eyes are the Most Beautiful Shade of…Turquoise?

There are many different eyes colours, and many people enjoy trying out different colour lenses such as Freshlook Colourblends to find out what they would look like if they had been born with different genes. Freshlook Colourblends are the perfect contact lens for changing any eye colour to something new and exciting for everyone.

Freshlook Colourblends are coloured contact lenses created by Ciba Vision, the same company that make Focus Dailies Toric contact lenses and Dailies AquaComfort Plus lenses. There are a dozen different colours of contact lenses available and they are made using a variety of pigments. Each lens is carefully crafted with a three in one colour blend that provides a natural look for anyone, regardless of the colour they choose. Normal eyes do not have only a single colour. Look closely and it is easy to see all the little flecks and speckles that give the human eye its various colours.

Freshlook Colourblends contact lenses use a variety of pigments in order to achieve their unique works of art that can be sported on the human eye. The pigments used will vary, depending on the colour that is being made. The pigments that Freshlook Colourblends use are iron oxide, titanium dioxide, copper, chromium oxide, carbazole violet, and phtalocyanine green. Depending on the combinations of pigments used, the colours produced for the line of Freshlook Colourblends contact lenses are pure hazel, true sapphire, honey, gray, green, brown, turquoise, blue, amethyst, sterling grey, brilliant blue, and gemstone green. With these innovative little pieces of technology, anyone can change their eye colour as quickly as it takes them to slip in a pair of these contacts.

It is important to note that the Freshlook Colourblends are made specifically for cosmetic purposes and not for correcting vision in any way. Freshlook Colourblends contact lenses are made with 45% phemfilcon A and 55% water, also commonly referred to by its chemical name of H20.  These lenses also have UV absorbing chromophores which are colour molecules. Even if they are not used on a daily basis, it is still a good idea to replaces colour contacts every so often.

Over time, lenses develop tears that can ruin them and also cause extreme discomfort to the eye. These lenses are cleaned and stored just like a regular contact lens, which makes them easy to use for those who are familiar with using contacts. For those who have never worn contacts, Freshlook Colourblends are nice and thin to allow for easy insertion and removal, as well as being extremely comfortable while worn.
