Judge Gary Pumilia sentenced a 21-year-old Rockford man to 20 years in prison Nov. 22 for his involvement in the slaying of ice cream vendor Isidro Duran, Winnebago shoes wedding dressCounty State’s Attorney Joe Bruscato’s office announced today.
Michael C. Jennings, who will have to serve 100 percent of his sentence, is one of three people arrested in connection with the case. Justin Dismuke and Rafael Santos are awaiting trial.
Duran was selling ice cream from a cart July 15, 2007, in the 700 block of Loomis Street when three men approached him and demanded money. As Duran ran away from the assailants, one of them began shooting, striking him in the back, legs and buttocks.Canadian-born singer Michael Buble says he and his fiancee, Argentine actress and model Luisana Lopilato, plan to marry in April.
UsMagazine.com said he announced on Monday’s edition of the “Today” show that their wedding will take place April 6.
“I was going to do it on the 29th,” Buble said. “But figured I wouldn’t get any press.”
Britain’s Prince William is to marry Kate Middleton on April 29.
