Millennium before Cataclysm in World of Warcraft
The output of Cataclysm is an opportunity for me to present a summary of months of activities of the Millennium guild on WoW Black Temple.
– The episode Icecrown yet started well, ended in pain, with a kill Arthas HM 25 very late in the fifth French position, the same week as the guilds # 2, # 3 and # 4, with the arrival of the 20% buff, weeks after the # 1 kill French.
– It has been followed for nearly three months by a complete restructuring of the guild, an overhaul of much of the workforce to compensate for the big score of departures during the progression ICC, a reorganization of the officers and the daily operation of the guild.
– In September, after having established a successful raid and more raid mix main, we embarked on DPS performance exercises (“time attack”) on the ICC boss HM 25. We have obtained very good results with, in particular, excellent results on Deathwhisper Lady, Blood Princes and Arthas, three fights left much room for strategies and to achieve raidcomps original performance.
– After a very strong presence of some twenty members of the guild on the beta before the establishment of the raids, and almost all of the guild from the opening of the raids, we were able to participate very intensively the full set of raids on the beta test. The guild was able to test all the bosses in normal mode and heroic mode, 10 and 25, in the various possible conditions (equipment blue, epic, intermediate, etc.)..
A big job of preparing strategic and tactic has been done with the players in raidcomps but also using many internal resources to the guild: private streams, log analysis beta frequent briefing / debriefing within pools of players, etc.. This organization allowed us to go after most meetings at their stage of development on the beta, with the exception of a few meetings notoriously impractical because of bugs – which we were not discouraged, however, to the massively try to be the best preparation possible.
