Compiling quiz questions for cash.

Approach Companies. Multimedia companies are often looking for trivia questions and it’s cheaper than employing people full time to pay per question or set of questions. What you need to do is approach these individually and ask them if they need any question compilers. If you get accepted then they will tell you how much they are willing to pay, their rules and time frames. They usually don’t pay massively and have a particular topic or subject they want people to focus on. Their time lines are usually very tight so be sure you can do the amount needed which is often 1000’s of questions.
Hold Pub and Club Quiz Nights. What you need to do is approach the establishment and be prepared to be knocked back. Once you have your foot in the door however, you’ll need to be prepared to show your questions and answers off. If they are happy with that then give them the full proposal. Start by stating that they’ll get more punters through the door and aim at getting as much profit from the quiz itself. Suggest you’ll pay for prizes and make sure they landlord or lady knows you will cause as little disruption as possible to their establishment. Pubs want people through the door putting money behind their bar so you need to sell it from that angle. They are more accommodating if you can give them a sense of confidence and likability as it will sell your quiz skills. Maybe give them a demonstration of your public speaking skills with your trivia questions. Again not going to make a massive amount to start with but worth while for a couple of times a week at different establishments.
Approach Quiz Sites who sell Digital Products. Explain yourself and show examples of your material and see if they are interested. Usually trivia for digital quizzes are are 30, 40 and 50 questions per product so split your material up appropriately. Quiz sites will either pay a one off fee or a small commission for every time your questions and answers are used. This can be quite a nice earner but your product has to be good quality.
With all the above you need to be aware of copyright laws and don’t try and copy questions off of the Internet particularly for multi media and digital quiz sites as you will usually be asked to sign and return an agreement, which makes you liable. Also, once you have committed a set of trivia questions don’t then resubmit these questions to other companies as this would also be part of the agreement. This is not to say you can’t make another similar question from the original but make sure the answer is different.
