A bow tie is a simple type of necktie which is worn by men. It is made up of a well designed cloth neatly and symmetrically worn around the collar with its two ends forming loops. Though using the band to tie it around your neck is more comfortable than clipping it on the collar because with the band you do not have to keep on checking and adjusting the tie as with the one clipped on the collar.
They are mostly used to accessorize Tuxedos though this does not mean that you cannot wear it on a more frequent basis. You can buy several bow ties of different designs and colors to match with your other official wear and wear them just like the common tie.
