See Yourself For Who You Are

We all know what it is like to not feel or be fully present with who we really are. Sometimes life seems only just barely manageable with so much to do and take care of that we get pulled away from our true self.  Yet it is our responsibility to and for ourselves to maintain this balance.  It is so important to be clear with who we are, not only to better ourselves or become who we are meant to be, but so that we can understand where we are coming from.  Sometimes our own reactions to things can be confusing to ourselves, but if you are fully engaged within yourself, present and clear enough to see yourself, you can understand your own reactions.  It is when we create distance from within, for whatever reason,  that we detach from who we are and we choose not to claim responsibility for ourselves, but who else can claim responsibility for ourselves?  When you can truly see yourself with clarity it becomes easier to understand yourself.  When you choose to really look at and be present with yourself you will begin to open up.

It is possible that we have learned to be defensive even with ourselves, to block the truths of who we are, the reasons for our actions, and to somehow protect ourselves from us. It is like asking yourself a question, but if you don’t like it you can feel yourself make up an unhonest answer.  Who are we trying to fool, who else is listening but us?  It is kind of funny but all too common.  You can sense that the honesty isn’t there and this is what you need to be aware of.  Of course, one answer can be more noticeable than others, but it is getting past the defensive part of yourself to the truth underneath that is necessary.

You will find the closer you get to the truth of yourself the easier it is and the more open you become. It is learning to trust yourself by opening up to who you are and finding out what you need.  The reasons why you have certain behaviors will come through the more you honestly see yourself.  It is when we give ourselves free reign to behave any which way, without taking any responsibility or honesty from within, that we become disconnected from who we really are, our true self.  If you care to know yourself and who you are, then reach in, seek out the issues, and try to get to know yourself.  By being present and honest with your thoughts and actions you will find yourself- your true self, and learn the truth about who you are and why you do what you do.
