These days people are going nuts over supposedly “cure all” herbal food supplements which are being incessantly advertised in Philippine television and radio. Though having no guarantee to cure all types of diseases, many are being marketed as a potent food supplement against all known diseases.

Why the increase of demand for herbal food supplements? The high demand may have been due to statistics showing that an increasing number of you people have become more prone to diseases, which are usually heard of when one gets to the age of 50 and above. Furthermore, the failure of western medicine to satisfy the health needs of many Filipinos have added to the factor.

Now another natural herbal food supplement is gaining more attention. This herbal, called flaxseeds, is claimed to be very beneficial to ones health. Back then many people worshipped this herb since it was said that it could heal the intestines and skin conditions, and improve energy and the totality of ones health because of its “magical powers.”

Commercializing of flaxseeds and its availability to the masses has only been done recently when medicine and drug companies took advantage of the findings done by reputable laboratories. Furthermore, its commercializing has gone into full throttle because of the strong recommendation for its use by health care professionals.

Flaxseeds are composed of 30% fiber and 40% healthy fat. Its high fiber content allows flaxseeds to improve hypoglycemia and diabetes condition.
