Eyelash Growth Product in Toronto
Fake eyelashes and mascara are now history. No longer will you ever have to bother with the time consuming task of beautifying lashes. Pharmaceutical giant Allergan has released Latisse, the perfect solution for thin, short or sparse lashes. This product is designed for inadequate or not enough eyelashes and is the first of its kind that has received the FDA and Health Canada approval. It’s available only through prescription.
The special formula of LATISSE has been released after detailed research and tests. It affects the growing cycle of the eyelashes. More numerous, darker, thicker and long lasting growing cycles of the eyelashes are the result of this treatment.
What is LATISSE
Bimatroprost, a synthetic prostaglandin used to treat glaucoma, is the active ingredient. This treatment was born after some physicians discovered a side effect of LUMIGAN (a drug that treats glaucoma, and contains Bimatroprost). It was discovered that Lumigan was affecting the eyelashes by making them darker and lusher. After some research, they discovered that Bimatroprost was the main reason for this “affection” of eyelashes.
How to administrate LATISSE
LATISSE should be used only once a day, before bedtime. First, cleanse the eyes and if you wear contact lenses, you should remove them. A LATISSE package includes applicators to apply the treatment to the base of the upper eyelashes.
After you apply the solution you should remove the excess with a tissue, because any area that is exposed to this solution for a long time will also experience improved hair growth. You should also follow the instructions as detailed, because otherwise there is the risk of negative side effects to appear. For patients who wear contact lenses, it is recommended that they be reinserted only after the solution is absorbed by the skin.
The full effect of this treatment can be visible after about 16 weeks. Even if you might see a difference after only a few weeks, you should continue to consistently use LATISSE in order to achieve the best results. After the full result is visible you should keep applying LATISSE to maintain your results, because hair will take to its natural course after a while and it could shed.
Like any other treatment, LATISSE has some common side effects like hair growth in areas you don’t want to but that were in contact with the substance, dry eyes, darkening of eyelid skin, itchy eyes and maybe an increase in brown pigmentation of the iris. If you suffer of eye pressure problems or alopecia areata it is recommended to ask for a professional advice, because this treatment might not be appropriate for you.
