So you’re setting up a WordPress blog for your Internet network marketing or home business, that’s terrific! The first thing you need is a domain name. Where you buy it is your decision. Your domain name is also called a web address. Url stands for “uniform resource locator”. Whatever registrar you use to purchase your domain name, take a second to jot down your login information since you will have to login periodically, and you do not want to squander your time looking for your info. I know this from experience, even if your browser records login details, that feature can fail and cost you time to dig up your details. Not saving your usernames and passwords in an easy to remember place is a big time waster.

If you have a common name this could be tricky, but it is important to try. regardless of what you are marketing on the internet, you are the one thing that differentiates you from all of the other people marketing the same or similar products. Soregardless of what you sell on the ‘net, you want to brand you as only you can corner that market. If your name is already registered, try adding your middle name, middle initial or your maiden name. Adding a number on the end is OK, too. I typically buy the dot com extension, but there are other options like .us (if you are in the United States) or .biz, or .net. I recommend that you avoid .info for your main blog.
If you are in Network marketing, Remember that many MLM operations do not allow you to use the name of the product or company in your domain name so either check first or just don’t do it. Instead you can create a WordPress blog Category for your mlm, and file all of your company related, key-word-optimized posts in there.
