Students Bag 22 jobs in first round of DU Placements

The First round of placements at Delhi University began on 15th Nov 2011. On Tuesday with four companies visiting the campus to hire final-year students with those pursuing post-graduation.

While a job portal to visit the campus of 22 students employed mainly for sales and marketing, the first day itself, three other companies, including NGOs, have taken the resumes of students. More than 800 students had become the procurement process that lasted until late Tuesday.

According to officials of the central place cells (CPC), the average salary offered on the first day was Rs 2.5 lakh. The next round of rankings will be held Jan. 29, when a Japanese company will visit the campus with the higher offer investment of Rs 1.25 lakh per month. The company is likely to provide jobs in sales by posting inTokyofor the first three years. The registration process for central locations, but ended on 31 October.

CPC was able to locate nearly 1000 students last year a total of 12,000 who had registered. Thirty companies have visited the campus for placements included the last time that PSU, kpos, BPOS and NGOs. The highest package offered last year was Rs 5.5 lakh per year for post-graduate students to fund profile. The lowest annual package offered was Rs 2.10 lakh.
