The 38-year old Blake was hampered by several injuries last season that limited him to just 63 games as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The one-year, $2 million deal is contingent on Blake passing a physical and also includes another $1 million in performance bonuses.
Blake joins youngsters Jordan Pacheco and Chris Nelson, veteran Brandon Wood and possibly top prospect Nolan Arenado among the Rockies’ third base hopefuls.
